We offer specialist Occupational Therapy assessments for people aged 14 and over who have experienced a life changing accident or illness.

Our name, North Star, represents our belief that everyone, given the right specialist skills and support, can be guided along their journey towards increased independence. Everything we are and everything we do is underpinned by our four guiding principles.

We are experts in promoting independence, despite catastrophic injury or life changing illness, and are here to support and guide you on your journey to recovery.
We support children (aged over 14) and adults with:
- an injury at birth or during childhood.
- acquired brain injury including traumatic brain injury after an accident or personal injury, anoxia, stroke, and haemorrhage.
- progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia and MS.
- We also have experience supporting people with other complex needs including polytrauma, chronic pain and Functional Neurological Disorders.
Where we work
We are all northerners, born and bred with a team spread across the North East. We can cover most areas within an hour including Tyne & Wear, Teesside, Durham, Northumberland, North Cumbria and the Scottish borders.
We want to make sure our team travel time and costs are proportionate to the therapy we undertake and are happy to discuss this with legal teams as needed.
